You're not broken.
Your nervous system just doesn't feel safe.
You're not broken.
Your nervous system just doesn't feel safe.
Your nervous system just doesn't feel safe.
Your nervous system just doesn't feel safe.
If you've been stretching, foam rolling, meditating, or researching Google fixes, only to end up in the same pain, stiffness, or stress loop.
You're NOT "broken."
You're NOT out of shape.
You're NOT getting old.
But it IS because your nervous system hasn't felt safe enough to let go of the tension, pain, or restriction it's been holding onto.
Pain is your brain sending a signal that's saying
"I need different input to help me feel less confused, gain more clarity, and help me predict my surroundings so I can feel safe and confident in my abilities and know I won't get eaten by a Saber Tooth Tiger."
We are hardwired for survival, but we also can't stay in survival mode, or fight or flight, for long periods of time without consequences.

We were never designed to live in a world full of stimulation. Our modern world has made it significantly harder for support for our nervous systems. It's not impossible but it's not built into life. Just like you have to make time to brush your teeth, move your body or eat well. You have to make time to support your nervous system and everyone's nervous system responds to different stimuli. Based on our assess-test-reassess process, you find the tools that make YOUR nervous system feel safe. This could be through your visual system, vestibular system, proprioception system and other brain-based tools.
Pain isn't your enemy or something to fear. Pain is your nervous system communicating with you that it needs something different. You don't need to "fix" it. You need to find what's missing.
Your brain is like a GPS and has a map of your body's nervous system programmed into its memory. When things get blurry, confusing or disconnected, the brain signals danger since it can no longer accurately predict its path. We can clear the pathways through movement, which makes clear, accurate and predictable signals so your movement can feel smooth and full of ease.
Using small, easy, smooth motions can put the body at ease, creating a temporary safe place in order to soften symptoms and start the process of shifting towards awareness and trust.
Patterns are another way the nervous system communicates with you. When you start paying attention to your body, your energy, your emotions, patterns will start to come forward if you learn to listen, pay attention, and notice how your body is responding to different stimuli in your life. The more aware you become, the more clues you can uncover. Did you know you can change a pattern? Change the input to change the output.
When you repeat the input that your brain has identified as something it likes, you must repeat these stimuli in order to develop trust. Trust turns into safety. However, this is the hardest part. This is the key component most people fail at. You are not meant to be perfect, but if you do not continue to give your brain the input it needs to make change, the changes you begin to see will not stick. Repetition is how we create massive change that holds when dealing with pain, aches, and restrictions. This part can take days to months.

"This past year has been a real challenge health wise. I thought at times it would be life changing and that I would never get back to the person I was. Having known Feather for many years, I reached out to her to help me get back on the road to good health. We started off slowly and with her knowledge and care, I'm just about where I was
"This past year has been a real challenge health wise. I thought at times it would be life changing and that I would never get back to the person I was. Having known Feather for many years, I reached out to her to help me get back on the road to good health. We started off slowly and with her knowledge and care, I'm just about where I was before. It sounds strange to say she saved my life, but in a way she has. I could have carried on a near invalid instead of strong and looking forward to my future."

...and the owner of Pilates Blended, LLC. I help people hurt less, move better, and finally feel at home in their bodies again — because I know what it’s like to lose that connection.
My story starts with a stroke in my 30s that changed everything. My body didn’t feel like my body anymore. Movements that used to feel natural suddenly felt foreign or difficult. I spent years trying to regain ease and confidence. Stretching, strengthening, doing all the “right things” and yet nothing fully clicked.
Later came fertility struggles and an emergency C-section at age 41, and once again I found myself feeling tight, guarded, overwhelmed, and unsure how to get back to myself.
It wasn’t just physical discomfort. It was the emotional weight of feeling disconnected from my own body.
That’s what led me to nervous-system work.
Once I discovered applied neurology and realized that pain, tension, and mobility aren’t just “tight muscles,” but protective outputs from a stressed, overloaded nervous system, everything changed. For the first time, my body started responding. My tension softened. My mobility returned. I felt clearer, more grounded, and more me.
And that’s why I do this work.
Today, Body Recovery Support sessions blend applied neurology, gentle mobility, somatic tools, and nervous-system supports to help your body feel safe enough to finally let go of what it’s been holding. I don’t force anything. We work with your brain, not against it, using simple, targeted drills that your nervous system approves in real time.
My goal is simple:
to help you move out of survival mode and back into a body that feels capable, supported, and yours again.
If your body feels “off,” stuck, tense, or louder than you want it to be, I understand. And I’d be honored to help you find your way back to ease.
Everyone needs to fill out an application, which is below, since I limit spots to make sure I have time for each person I am working with and we are a good fit.

This month long series of four 45-minute sessions is designed for people whose system needs consistent guidance, not a one-off shift. This is a 6-week, group program designed to give you a set of nervous system support tools specific to you by the end of the program. We will be diving into the cranial nerves, testing each one to see what drills your brain likes in order to make your support list that will help you hurt less & move better. There will be a mandatory 50-60 minute Zoom call weekly as we will be doing testing together. If you can't commit to all 6 sessions, please wait till the next round or schedule 1.1 sessions.
Next group to start week of January 19, 2026. If you have days and times you'd be interested in please send us a message.
